Scope

We publish concise educational records about foods and common scraps for backyard chickens. We do not diagnose birds, prescribe treatment, calculate toxic doses, or replace a veterinarian.

Evidence language

Headlines must match the underlying conditions. “Safe” is reserved for a plain, appropriate form used as an occasional supplement. “Prepare carefully” means a part, preparation, or amount changes the decision. “Avoid” identifies a documented preventable risk. “Not enough evidence” is a valid outcome.

Source and reviewer transparency

Every launch record links to its source register and shows the last-reviewed date. The current records are source-reviewed, not veterinarian-reviewed. A future veterinary review must name the reviewer and scope before that label appears.

Commercial independence

The launch site contains no sponsored placements, affiliate recommendations, paid rankings, or feed-brand promotion. Commercial relationships must never change a safety verdict.

Updates

We correct clear errors and revise records when stronger or newer evidence changes the conclusion. Review dates describe the record check, not a promise that the underlying evidence is complete.
